FACILITY:
The 1000m² facility is purpose-built and is designed according to EU GMP specifications. The facility is vertically integrated with indoor cultivation, post-harvest processing, manufacturing, quality control and packaging all under one roof. The iso panelled facility comprises a mother room, clone room, drying room, trimming room, quality control and strong rooms. The growing and processing rooms are equipped with unique environmental conditions, allowing full climate control. The design includes HEPA filtration, HVAC, dehumidifiers.
GREENHOUSE:
Our 5000m² greenhouse is equipped with full climate control, offering an optimal growing environment year round. Our design capitalizes on our moderate climate, harvesting full spectrum sunlight and integrating climate control systems to ensure high yields at low operational costs. The climate controls include heating, misting, evaporative cooling, blackout screens, light supplementation, ventilation and elevated gutters.
OUR FARMING BACKGROUND:
We have been farming hydroponically for 30 years as SIMPLY SALADS, a family business for all the major retailers in SA, mainly speciality tomatoes and coloured peppers. Simply Salads is considered one of the largest fresh produce suppliers South Africa. In addition to the hydroponics we also have just over 100 hectares of macadamias in various stages of production. All trees were grafted in our nursery, all our orchids are under fertigation.
